Sitting an a shelf, next to the television, in a small apartment isn't exactly the most glamorous way to start sharing my travels with the world, but after three rather successful trips, many emails to friends and family, and a new trip in the works, I decided that maybe a new form of sharing my explorations was in order. This last trip seemed to leave me questioning who read my emails, who would have liked to but didn’t get the chance since I didn’t include them on my email list, and who just left it sitting in their inbox out of politeness, convincing themselves that they'd "read it later" but later never came, and it’s either long ago deleted, or still sitting five or six pages into a long list of inbox items that will never be deleted - you know the type, the ones who never delete anything for fear they might need it some day - is that like a digital hoarder? Are their computers also cluttered with thousands of files and picture's they'll never delete even though they took 800+ pics of the same thing on a one week trip (sometimes even downloading them twice because they didn’t dare take them off the camera either)? But I digress… my point is, I decided that perhaps this format for future vacations would be the better choice, allowing those who are actually interested in the wanderings of a teddy bear, to head on over and read a bit, and those who couldn’t care less, to simply sit in ignorance for the rest of their lives (but hey, their inbox will hold a few less emails they’ll never read).
As already stated, I am not currently on one of my wonderful travel adventures, and so I will entice you with a bit of history as to how I came to be such a world-class travelling bear. Some of you already know the story, and some of you may be hearing of me for the first time as you read this (although you must know something to have ventured to this blog in the first place, so give me a break, ok!). For those who have travelled with me before, either in person or vicariously through my emails, be patient as I share with everyone else what has brought us all to this point. I will try not to bore you too much.
